Canon Powershot SX40 HS and S100 Point-And-Shoot Cameras

The PowerShot SX40 SA sports a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with ISO sensitivity up to ISO 3200. It has a 35x optical zoom is intelligent and understands (Image Stabilizer) and includes a size of 2.7 inches variable angle LCD.

Canon has hit a point-and-shoot on the market today, a couple of new additions to the PowerShot S100, and SX40 HS, both of which use the 5 DIGIC Image Processor, promising an excellent low-light performance and faster speeds.

Like the PowerShot S100, which also has a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor with a sensitivity of 6400 ISO, a GPS, a 5x optical zoom and a 3-inch size LCD screen. Both the S100 and SH SX40 is capable of Full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording.

Price and availability wise, both cameras will cost U.S. $ 430. The PowerShot SX40 SA is planned for later this month, while the S100 is slated for release in early November.
